Project Spotlight: DTSC Argonaut-Jackson Pipeline

DTSC awarded ERRG the second phase of the stormwater control project at the Argonaut Dam in Jackson, CA. The first phase was completed in late 2018 when ERRG constructed the earthen buttress and concrete stormwater system both in and around the dam to contain the arsenic impacted mine tailings remaining from historical gold mining activities. This second phase of the project includes upgrades to the stormwater pipeline system below the dam, removing existing 27” and 36” diameter corrugated metal pipelines and installing new 36” and 48” diameter reinforced concrete pipelines and to connect the stormwater control system to Jackson Creek.

The pipelines have been installed, and asphalt paving activities are complete. ERRG installed rip rap slope protection on the upstream intake basin and constructed the mechanically stabilized earth wall.
